How to remove gphone.exe virus

Hi friends,

I had receive 260kb file from one of my friend through Yahoo messenger and i have accept it.I don't know what happen after accepting it, everyone who are being added in my messenger got an message from my yahoo ID which was not send by me.After searching a lot i came to know that my PC is being infected by a virus name called as gphone.exe.Can anyone give me some description about what is gphone.exe virus and how to over come from this issue because it's being spread to many people and i need to provide them a solution.

Gphone.exe is a worm which spread through Google chat and Yahoo! Messenger.This threat is associated with the malware group Win32.Tiotua.W. Threat name Win32.Tiotua.W Filename [System32Root]\gphone.exe Filesize Unknown Last seen 11.2.2008 Status Known to RemoveIT Pro as unsafe. This worm disables your antivirus security software, and downloads more scrapware onto your PC.

For removing gphone.exe virus from your PC first you need to Temporarily Disable System Restore and reboot your computer into SafeMode.Now goto GPHONE.EXE virus files and uninstall GPHONE.EXE files program.Type regedit in Run Option and press enter, registry Window would get open now Delete/Modify any values added to the registry related with GPHONE.EXE and exit registry editor and reboot your PC.Now have a Clean/delete all GPHONE.EXE infected files.Finally delete all your temp files with GPHONE.EXE manually.

There is one more way of removing gphone.exe virus by going through Task Manager.Goto Task Manager by pressing ALT+CTRL+DEL Key.Over here click on process tab and locate gphone.exe after finding it end process by right click over it and select End Task or directly press delete key from your keyboard to end the process.Now again search your computer for gphone.exe file and if found then delete it from your computer. Finally download the software to remove duplicate files created by the virus to prevent further infection.
