    Limited connectivity in static IP?

    hi,
My pc is connected to a Gigabit switch and the switch connected to the ADSL router ... I had limited connectivity passages from time to time,Once the connectivity is limited, impossible to do anything: neither flushdns or ipconfig / renew, or anything.I thought it came of the lease for the IP address by the DHCP server, so I set my Gigabit connection forfixed IP. But no change...

    hi,
what is the specification of this switch? What are its fonctionalites is it manageable, or autoconfig.. ? What model is this one? Can you ping your NAS or other item of your LAN during this limited connectivity.

To attempt recovery, try testing instead of resetting the TCP:
-netsh int ip reset all then
    -netsh winsock reset catalog

Re: Limited connectivity in static IP?

    hi,
i have NETGEAR GS605 5-port Gigabit Desktop Switch,So I think we can do anything with it, it is not manageable. "Gigabit - AutoSense - Auto-Uplink" is given on the site of the manufacturer. I can ping anything at all ... neither the NAS nor the router or anything! And Vista tells me

    Code:
    Access: Local only
    IPv4 Connectivity: Local
    IPv6 Connectivity: Local
It is obviously not the IP that I set ...

DHCP is enabled but the server is clearly not available. Probably a loss of connectivity (physical). As a result, the DNS and gateway are not informed.

The IP address that appears is Class B. Does it correspond to your network? Or is it a default?

    First check the connection:
    - Update the NIC drivers (beware of the 64-bit).
    - Verify any Firewall
    - Check network cables

Your network card is in PCI-E? NO you would not change the frequency of this bus?
