Test Notebook Network Card

I have the following problem: (x Notebook PC) I bought a Notebook ITS IS 1462 model which already came with Windows Vista Home Basic installed and I have a desktop Pentium IV with Windows XP.

I can not connect on the 2 network (point to point) is always missing is that the network cable, I swapped the cable, I swapped the network card and not the Desktop said NOTHING!

Now I'm certainly not be a problem in the network card of the notebook or the Windows Vista incompatible with XP.

Is there any Software to test the network card of the notebook, as already been in contact with the guarantee of Semper Toshiba and they gave me a period of almost 30 days for me to return the notebook.

Have you tried the cable loop? access the link and make a cable of your answering machine is everything ok
