What do you mean exactly?
IP addresses are resolve to MAC addresses by using ARP. Any book that explains ARP and RARP on the same page(s) without explaining that they are NOT practically related to each other is worthless. RARP are ARP are alike in two ways only: They use a very similar packet type and they rhyme.
What I am trying to get at is that in Netmon in shows me the MAC addresses but not the ip addresses. How do I take the MAC address and resolute that to an IP address? I got around this by looking in my Cisco Router arp table, but is there not a way to do this with some type of command?
Thanks.
