xp pro laptop not seeing virtual desktop server in wirelss network.

This is the situation.
one desktop running xp home, one laptop running xp home, one laptop running xp pro.
One week ago there was a linksys router connected to the desktop via cat 5 cable, two laptops wireless. All worked fine including the ablitiy to print from both laptops. The printer is attached to the desktop pc via usb cable.

Now the system was changed to verizon Fios and a new Verizon router was installed.
All connect to the internet fine, the xp home laptop sees the printer on the network and prints fine. The desktop prints fine (of course it is hard wired).
The XP pro laptop will not see the desktop or the printer on the wireless network.

Can anyone give me some assistance as to why this has occured or what to do to correct this noncommunication issue.

If one laptop is working fine in the printing work than what is the problem with the other. I just feel like the connection problem. Pls check the hard wired config. Also check the IP configuration in that laptop if its proper along with default gateway.
