Is there any good Anti-Virus programs out there that won't hassle me, and slow my system down? I'm tired of programs like Mcaffe that take over my computer.
Thanks for any advice.

I'd say Avast! or NOD32. Norton slows down any computer and misses a surprising amount of trojans. AVG works with Vista but once in while the Updates take a long time to download or the resident Protection fails to initialize. AVG Free doesn't work on the 64 bit version of Vista, while Avast! does.
I'll throw in vote for AVG Free 8.0. I've paid for the security suites a few times over the years but always ended up frustrated that i spent the money on something that a good free program can do just as well. After all, the greatest risk to your PC security is you, the user. Keeping things updated, avoiding obvious scams and suspicious emails, etc., should be at the top of any how-to list for being secure. You don't need to spend money on anti-virus software.
I am going to buy a new laptop which is going to come with pre installed Windows Vista premium. But it is not with any pre installed antivirus. So I am thinking about which antivirus will be the best suitable for this vista. I have thought about Kaspersky, Nortan and Avira but dont know which of them are more suitable with Vista and which are problematic in Vista. Please guide me in this friends.
For 32 Bit, I use AVG-Free.
For my Vista 64 Bit, I use AVAST-Free.
There may be others, but I haven't looked. Works fine so far.
