Office 2007 Crashing on Vista 64-bit?

I are having a set of computers that are working on Windows Vista. It is a 64bit system that 8GB RAM. So the performance is quiet enough. Along with this I also use Solid Works and AutoCAD. The last thing I did is installed Microsoft Office and installed all updates. The updates are well. Everything is working leaving Office. It is crashing when I launch it. I had installed Office from a installation cd. I am not able to understand why this is not working alone.

Try to verify the version of Microsoft Office you are using. I think you are using a 32bit edition which is crashing. You have to check out the 64bit version which is much more stable. Also after installation do not run Windows Update. That can create trouble. If it works fine then do not apply any updates or patches. I do not think any third party software is responsible for the crash.

I got the same issue but that appeared only after installing SolidWorks. I think there are some files which are causing the crash. I had tried to run the repair setup a number of time but still Office crash. I had performed the same setup under compatibility settings and things are working fine.

pls contact your local SolidWorks support for help.
From today there is a hotfix available that fixes the above described issues.

The fix should solve these problems :
Microsoft Office 2007 crashing on Windows Vista x 64 with Solidworks installed.
Randomly, not reproducable crashes occur in Excel 2007 , Outlook 2007 and Word 2007.
