    Custom Loop Intel LGA 2011

At last I have decent amount left with me for upgrading my LGA775 rig after a long wait for 3 years and I am very much excited about it. I have done enough research for the upgrade day and night and at last came up with the following specifications. It’s not that I am confused with anything or want some suggestion with the configuration but instead I just wanted you to help me out in let me know about what I have planned to buy. Below are the list of rig, remember that the configuration is not yet confirmed so therefore you need not have to worry in suggesting me with any other alternate option, feel free to share anything with me.
    • Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth x79
    • Processor: Sandy Bridge - E
    • GPU: 580GTX
    • Case: Haf X

Regarding the processor let me tell you that I haven’t decided which one should go for. And with the GPU what I am planning is to wait until the 6 series cards released, anyways for now currently I am using GTX470. No matter what happens this time I am going to try out using water rather using fans for cooling the system. Anyways I have mentioned almost all the things that are on my preference list. now its you job to let me know about the compatibility or performance of the configuration that I am going to use. Along with this also let me know the best place from where I can purchase all the products, cost reduction is the first preference so please before you suggest me with any site first check the price list by yourself and then pass on the link for that product.

What exactly I am planning to do is to do a Straight loop with the order of Rad > Pump > CPU > and so on. Other than the above question another doubt I would like to ask is whether I am suppose to run the loop in parallel with the CPU if I try to add up 2 Watercooler GPUs and for filling and maintenance where should I add the T-Link.

Seems like there are lot of doubts going around in your mind. Anyways coming back to doubt, first of all let me tell you that I too have a rig i.e. AMD rig and I have a raystorm on it which is till now working well and file without any issue. as about T line I would like to tell that if I was in your place for T line I would have put it at the bottom of the loop if you are really willing use it to drain the loop. For filling up the res that you have should somehow have a fill port or maybe something that is used for filling it. I doubt but I think the case that you listed in your prefer list can somehow support a 120.3 rad internally on the roof of the case as for mounting it to the outside there is no such big reason unless you need it to be so.

If you ask me I would have kept a separate loop for the GPU as for the hose 10 which is quite enough but as at the ultimate moment everything depends upon the number of mistakes that you have done.

Hey if you are really willing to water cool then better go for water cooling the CPU and VGA but don’t for doing the same with the Motherboard. It is recommended to water cool the motherboard but only in case the air cooling fails. After CPU and VGA blocks the most known and common cooling component is the full motherboard block but still I think it is rarely required.

You can simply increase the life of any the Laing DDC pump by simply having a decent air flow with the base or the underneath of the pump. I don’t think you need to go for a heatsink instead make sure that there is a good amount of air flow under the pump where the PCB is existing. I personally feel that the CPU blocks should be able to work well with XSPC having a better customer service. I used up a Danger Dan VGA with full cover blocks. I must say that you has the best rad but unfortunately it would fit inside HAF-X. Compared to my HAF 932 your HAF-X ooks much better. You will have research a lot but I think you can fit only the slim rad of 35 mm or even less than this inside if you push or pull with 25 mm fans and if you perform only one push or pull then you may get the extra room for thicker rad. In my case my HAF 932 the 120.3 however takes out the part of the upper driver bays that we will have to get a measuring tape. A controller is recommended but not the full sized optical drive. A full sized optical drive is quite complicated to fit into it where as in place of it you can easily fit the fan controllers.

I too used Res and it was according to me very much suitable and fine. Tubing would be very much well and fine only if its working for your system. Always remember to pump the Res first and then do what so ever you want or fitting into. If you try to water cool the VGA cards and if suppose you have 2 Cards then you can make them run in a series that would be much easier and also you can run them parallel but you will have to do everything in advance basis like if are willing to get EK parallel connectors and then you want EK blocks, in either of the way if you are done successfully then it would work find.

There are people who make drains and also some of them don’t do so. I am not sure about is because most of them does not drain as per the expectation. You will still have to use a pitcher in order to ignore any sort of problem. As you use a reservoir I guess you filling would be a fill-Line as out of the top port of the swiftech microres.

When I try to run my loop with just a single CPU cooler as a single series of circuit, is there any way to know how many compression fitting will be required for me. I guess 2 for pump then 2 for CPU block and 2 for Res including an additional one for T line and others.

Regarding the parts and the product purchasing I would say that in my case I simply ordered from dazmoze.com. I was suppose to get the thing from somewhere out therefore the exchange rates also implies but other than this the shipping rate was quite reasonable and the best thing was the customer service, I really loved it. If you plan to go for a kit then surely you can carry on with the same. Most of the time they have kits that they put up together.
