DDR2 800 MHZ RAM is running at 400MHZ

Following is the system specification which I am having

    AMD X2 240 2.8GHZ

    Kingston Value Ram (KVR800D2N6/2G X2)

    N68-S Motherboard

    Ccivo 450watt PSU

    244GB Maxtor STM32503 18AS SCSI Disk Device

Graphic On Board is 565 (1024x768@75Hz)
    256MB GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a (ASRock)
I noticed that DDR2 800MHz RAM is running at 400MHZ.
How can I make my RAM to run on 800MHZ as it supposed to be?
    If you know anything about
let me know as early as possible.

I think you are not aware of that DDR stands for double data rate. So it supposed to be 400 x 2 for 800mhz. according to me your RAM is supposed to be working fine. Well I have installed DDR3 1600MHz RAM on my computer and it is showing 800MHz in CPU-Z. so there is nothing wrong with your RAM.
Well memory is running at 400MHz which is a real frequency and transferring the data couple of times per cycle. That’s why it is called as DDR2.

If I am not wrong computers are making use of wave clock signal. DDR2 RAM is transferring the data at leading as well as trailing edge of signal. The RAM stick is working twice for every clock signal. If you are having 400MHz clock than the it would work like 800MHz RAM. However you will be able to get little bit difference into benchmark as well as of normal boot operation.
