Is a 130w TDP Xeon processor compatible with Lenovo ThinkStation C20 and C20x?

I was wondering that if the heatsink fans which come standard lower profile cpu 2 heatsink fan are appropriate for the 130w processors. But the parts listed have suggestion that the fan is just able to handle the 95w processors and if we talk about the x5680 and x5690 then they can handle 130w and are compatible with the C20 and C20x. Can somebody over here provide some confirming post for this?

I would like to tell you that heatsinks used for the 130W CPUs are totally different. The improved design for this is used for added thermal output. You should go through some review for this and that will get you better idea regarding this.

There are two factors that takes the decision that not to utilize the heatsink TDP across the board and these two factors are:

• Cost
• Attach rates for 130W CPUs

It is having too low attach rate of 130W CPUs within the C20 and the front heatsink needed for the 130W in C20. This is very expensive. This is having custom design so that the vendors cannot utilize that somewhere else other than the particular system.
