Gigabyte p67a-ud3p-b3 rev 1.1 does not detect HDD

I have built PC with Gigabyte p67a-ud3p-b3 motherboard, 4GB RAM and 500GB had. I have 160GB hard disk which I was using with my old computer but my computer does not detect that. What should I do to solve this problem, if anyone have solution regarding this then please let me know.

You should first start computer and then you have to right click on my computer and then select manage. Now after that you have to select disk management from the left pane and then check whether you HDD is listed there or not. if HDD is not there then it might be connection issue. you should also try to connect HDD with SATA2 port and after connecting it with SATA 2 port you have to check whether it makes any difference or not.

I have checked in the disk management in my computer and HDD was not there. Now after that I have also tried to solve this problem by connecting the HDD with SATA2 port but after doing that also I was experiencing same problem. now please tell me what should I do to solve this issue.

You have to connect your HDD with other PC and then you have to check whether you are getting same problem or not? if you are getting same problem then I think problem is with your HDD. You should also visit official site of the HDD manufacturer company and then check whether there is any firmware update available for your HDD or not. if there is update available then you should update the firmware.
