    Core i5 2500K getting stuck on 1.6GHz

I am using Asus P8P67 PRO motherboard and I have recently installed Core i5 2500K processor on the same and the problem that I am facing now is that I am not able to use the turbo boost, I have checked out in the CPU-Z and it is getting stuck on 1.6GHz with all the programs that I run. I have found that the Processor Diagnostic tool is failing at the BCLK test where as the Turbo Boost Tec Monitor is not moving as well. It just stays at 1.6GHz even after turning off speed step as well as the thermal features in BIOS. is there anyone who can help me out??

Before I suggest you something about the same I wanted to know the following:
    • Which are the programs that you have used?
    • What is the max temperature??
    • Are you able to see the Turbo Boost in msconfig??

Also let me know the workaround that you have tried so far, so that I don’t suggest you the same.

Re: Core i5 2500K getting stuck on 1.6GHz

I have used the below programs:
    • Asus AI Suit
    • CPU-Z
    • Intel Burn Test
    • Real Temp
    • CoreTemp
    • TMonitor
    • CPUID Hardware Monitor
    • AIDA64
    • Intel Turbo Boost Technology Monitor
    • Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool

Other than this the maximum tem is 33 Celsius and I am not able to find Turbo Boost in msconfig, by now I have tried updating the bios and reinstalling the windows several times but then it is not making any difference.

Re: Core i5 2500K getting stuck on 1.6GHz

Just try out the below settings in the CPU configuration tab:
    • CPU ratio = auto
    • Intel Adaptive Thermal Monitor = enable
    • Hyper-threading = enable
    • Active Processor cores = all
    • Limit CPUID Maximum = OS dependent = disable
    • Execute Disable Bit = enable
    • Intel Virualization Tech = disable
    • Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology = Disable for test – enable for operation
    • Turbo Mode = enable
    • CPU C1E = enable
    • CPU C3 report = enable
    • CPU C6 report = enable

Just try it out and see if they are helping and let me know if they do.
