PCI slot cannot detect Sound card with gigabyte ga-x58a-oc

I am using computer in which I have gigabyte ga-x58a-oc motherboard and windows 7 operating system. Now the problem is when i connect PCI sound card with PCI slot at that time my system does not detect it. I don’t know whether problem is with setting or motherboard. Please tell me what I should do to solve this problem.

Well according to me you have to first remove the Sound card and then you have to reseat the card properly and then see whether it makes any difference or not? I am telling you this because many times reseating the card also help us to solve this problem. if you still face the same problem after trying above solution then I will suggest you to connect sound card with different motherboard and then you have to check whether same problem is occurring or not. if you don’t get same problem then there might be problem with your motherboard and if same problem occurs with different motherboard then problem is with your sound card.

I have reseated my sound card and after doing that also same problem occurred. when I connect my sound card with other computer at that time it does not give me any problem. now please tell me what should I do to solve this problem?

I think you have to go to the BIOS setting and after going in to the BIOS setting you have to go to the Integrated Peripherals page and from there you have to check whether Intel High Definition Audio(Azalia) is disabled or not? if it is not disabled then you have to disable that and after disabling that you have to see whether same problem is occurring or not. as far as I know after trying this solution your problem will get solved.

Yes I will also suggest you the same. With my system there was similar thing happened with me and after that I have first thought that problem is with my motherboard and later on I came to know that I have to disable Azalia from BIOS setting and I have disabled Azalia and after doing that my problem get solved. I think you should also try this solution and your problem will get solved.
