USB 3.0 not working properly on GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3

I have recently bought a GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 and everything else is working fine but then the problem I have found is that the USB 3.0 not working properly, currently I am running bios F6e but then I have not tried F5 bios by now. I have tried to use the all the Etron drivers but then I am not able to get USB 3.0 work. Is there anyone who can help me out with the same? Any suggestion regarding the same will be appreciated.

I don’t know how come you are having a problem with it, I mean that even I am suing GA-990FXA-UD3 board and I am using it since a long time but then I have not yet faced any such problem by now. I just wanted to know if you have tried to switch on the USB 3.0 on in the BIOS under Integrated Peripherals or not? Just check it out and see if it is making any difference, it actually comes “on” as default but then there are possibilities that it might have changed. Try it out and then let me know what you get.

I have checked it out and I have found that the Sata3 is turned ON in bios and it says that the "This device can perform faster" but then I don’t know why the USB 3.0 is not at all working. Is there any other thing that I can try out?

If you are getting so than I think that that this might be just because of the driver issue and I don’t think that you will have to worry about the same because I don’t think that it is true always. Even I had faced the same once and I am aware of that phrase as well but then when I had tested the USB 3.0 device then I found that the USB 3.0 was working fine but then after uninstalling the driver and then reinstalling the driver helped me to get rid out of the phrase. Just uninstall and then reinstall and then see if it is working for you as well or not. Let me know what you get.

I also wanted to share that I am having 2 Buffalo USB 3.0 external hard drives but then even they are not working with the Etron drivers, I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers as well but then I don’t think that they are helping me out. As far as I know the when the hard drive shows a green light then it is running USB 2.0 ad it is blue light for the USB 3.0 and I have tested the same several times but then I am only getting the green light. Any further help with the same will be appreciated.

I will suggest you to check out for Buffalo firmware update or you can also get the latest driver for the same rather then just uninstalling and then reinstalling the same, I was having the same kind of the problem once and it was that I was having USB 3 GA-880GMA-USB 3 driver 105ver with western digital USB 3 but then it used to not get recognized and sometimes it used to get recognized suddenly after a reboot but then the problem was fixed after getting a firmware update. Just check it out and see if you are having the same case and then let me know if it is helping you or not.

Hey I have checked out for the buffalo but then I have not yet found an update for the same and as far as I aware there has not been an update from the drivers from 2010. If you find a link then please let me know.
