Unable to use HDMI port on MSI 880GMS-E35

Hi, I purchase this MSI 880GMS-E35 mainboard two month before and it works well on my system. Configuration of my system is being as follows:

• Mainboard:MSI 880GMS-E35
• CPU:AMD Athlon || X2 3.2 Ghz,
• RAM:2 GB DDR3
• HDD : 250 GB

Now i got problem on this mainboard. when i try to connect my philips TV to mainboard using HDMI port, it doesn't work. I want to make this connection in any stage. with VGA cable its working well on system but not with the help of HDMI port. Can anyone explain the real reason behind this issue. Thanks for any suggestions.

In that situations, check that the same HDMI port has been made proper connections with other HDMI device. if it works well, surely problem is in the HDMI port. You can replace that port in such situations. Otherwise need some meaningful solutions over this issue.

You can simply try to update HDMI driver for this connectivity. You need to right click on My computer. Go to Manage option and double click on the hdmi driver on the driver list present on your screen. Use the update option and perform driver update process on this MSI system. It will be work to fix your connectivity problem by upgrading the hdmi driver on it. You can also use here DriverScanner for doing this hdmi driver upgrade task.

This program then help me to perform online hdmi driver upgrade task on this msi system. After finishing this process, i try to make connection with Philips TV. Now both the devices works simultaneously without any issue. You can also try this policy on your msi.

If you have not installed msi's drivers on your board, try to install this drivers with the help of motherboard driver installation CD. Normally this CD comes at the time of buying this mainboard. Hence use this and perform msi driver installation task. after finishing it successfully, try to make this connection. hope this time you got best result.

1. Turn off and unplug mainboard and TV connections.
2. Unplug sound & video output from MSI mainboard.
3. Use HDMI cable and first connect it to TV,
4. Then connect another point of HDMi cable to MSI board.
5. First Turn on TV and then computer.
6. That's it.

This process works to fix your connectivity problem and it will be work to fix your complex connectivity problem. Try this and check what happens on it.

Thanks for your valuable reply. As per you suggest first i perform hdmi driver update process. Then i apply the process that mentioned on above post. This step by step process works to fix my complex connectivity issue. Thanks once again for all the users.
