You need to check that the bios on the motherboard is being gives the compatibility problem onto it or not. If it gives compatibility issue then you need to perform the bios upgrade task on it. this bios upgrade will be notice the newly added CPU on such motherboard. Then it can be help to attach such highly compatible processor to your existing motherboard. You need to do this task for solving your complicated issue.

You need to also try to reset the CMOS setting of the bios. This might be work to detect the newly added CPU onto such motherboard. I think you need to apply this CMOS reset technique onto your system. It will be work to fix your complicated issue.

After adding such type of processor onto your system you need to configure the system CPU. That is first you need to visit the CPU-Z file and then make some changes onto it. CPU-Z is a freeware that gathers information on some of the main devices of your system. You need to set several parameters for the newly added CPU onto this program. Then it works well on your system. You can found this file inside the setup folder of the Microsoft Windows operating systems. Hence try to set all the configuration parameter of this CPU and check system result.

If my knowledge is correct the CPU's clock source is from the chipset. Hence I think you can try to update the driver of the chipset. The updated driver of chipset will make an impression to attach this 1600 CPU onto your existing motherboard system.

Yes, I also recommended to you for do the chipset driver upgrading task. it fix your problem. you can use the Intel(R) Chipset Device Software be installed onto the target system prior to the installation of other drivers. It will be work to fix your problem. Updating drivers is expensive and carries risk. But you need to do this task for attaching the new 1600 CPU onto your system.

The new chipset is optimized for the most recent Xeon processors and also can put up processors with a 1600MHz front-side bus. You need to select the processor that will be compatible with your motherboard. If still it gives you problem then I think you need to check the connectivity. I hope that it will be fix your problem.
