    Upgrade Dell Inspiron 530 CPU from E2160 1.8GHz to E6700 3.2GHz

I have been using the Dell Inspiron 530 by means of Pentium Dual core E2160 1.8GHz. It is performing very well and so far it was enough for all of my operations. Now the job gets extended and I have to do lot of work in this compute and for that purpose I need more speed and performance. So now I am thinking upgrading to E6700 3.2GHz. I don’t know whether it will work or not. That’s why I am asking for help. Furthermore I want to know whether this E6700 the most excellent cpu to go for or not.

In my opinion the below processors are superior. Just take a look into that.
    • Wolfdale Core 2 Duo, E8400, 3.0GHz, 6MB, 1333FSB, 65W, E0
    • Wolfdale Core 2 Duo, E8500, 3.16GHz, 6MB, 1333FSB, 65W, C0
    • Wolfdale Core 2 Duo, E8600, 3.33GHz, 6MB, 1333FSB, 65W, E0

First of all make sure that before you installing the CPU you call for to verify that you have BIOS Version 1.0.15, otherwise advanced, while support for latest Intel CPU's was added. I have upgraded to the E8400 within my 530 MT and it works very well devoid of any problems.

The e6700 is almost certainly the most excellent option of cpu upgrade intended for the Dell inspiron 530 today. Not the greatest, except the top.

To see this info would really be no problem to upgrade to the E6600. You happen to know the FSB of the motherboard? I know if I can tell you if it's smart to upgrade the E6600 or something cheaper that you can take a better but still very good performance from. FSB is the front side bus communicates with the processor with other components of the PC. The higher the FSB the faster the whole thing so.

The current chipset supports one type of CPU is one of the conditions to do functioning on a motherboard. It also requires that the BIOS contains the μcodes Cid and Vid characteristics and each individual CPU INTEL and as the Inspiron 530 has only dual-core CPU with Max as the E 6850 it is very unlikely that such a DELL BIOS accepts the quad is a big drawback of PC Brand
