    Need help regarding i5 2500k heatsink/fan installation

I just built my first computer with a processor i5 2500K and when I first turned on last night after the MB was saying the temperature was 62, then after a while they shot 98, 99, so we off. When I was installing the heatsink / fan, all I did was push down both buttons and when I push down the other two seemed she had pressed (applying a little force to check), My question is: I did something wrong with the installation? Is the default heatsink and fan in reality so bad? How exactly what I get the heatsink back off because I attempt drag one of the pins flipside and are actually tight.

A heat sink clogged heat cannot dissolve fast enough and the laptop shuts down to protect the CPU. The issue is that the team is very hot when it's hot in the place. In the technical support they told me they have to clean the heat sink is in the back of the computer. In a few one the overheating problem is that the CPU thermal grease dried out and cannot properly perform the heat of the laptop processor heat sink. To fix a laptop overheating problem clean the heatsink and CPU fan first.

As you are having issues with the heatsink, I would resemble you with some tips you may try with your heat sink. When you look at your cabinet then you can find the pins, immediately turn the pushpins with the arrows, and pull up till take a little strength if they were in correctly. I would point on this that gigabyte motherboards or Asus have thicker pins on it. So accordingly you will need to apply certain force. If it is ruined completely then change the heatsink.

There is a back plate that needs to be attached to the rear of the CPU socket. You'll need to take the motherboard out. You will entail accessing the underside of the board for either 212+ or a70. If the case has an entrée hole on the motherboard tray you can just take off equally side panels to install them. The vital fixation to note down is that, don’t forget to re-apply the thermal paste when you install the stock cooler back or when installing a new cooler.

You will not need to take the motherboard out since you have access to the socket. The base of the 212+ isn’t very smooth or flat, for that use a credit card to fill in the gaps with the included heat sink compound. Then put a 1/2 pea sized dot on the CPU when installing. The case has more than enough room to work with the back plate. 1156 and 1155 do, but they're different than 1366. Fortunately almost all after-market coolers include brackets for both, though.
