    My CPU died on MSI K9N2 SLI Platinum, Can i upgrade to AM3 chip?

    Hello friend, last one month I have used the CPU on my MSI K9N2 SLI Platinum motherboard and now it is burnt out. Hence I want to replace it. I know that I have done this task using the AM3 chips with the correct bios version. But, I must tell you that I don't have brief knowledge about it. I need the version that will be help to perform this task. The CPU of the system is an AMD Athlon x2 6000+. Any help will be appreciates.

The site will be showing the details of the motherboard. The go to the support section and then hit the CPU support option. You can be view the supported CPU of this motherboard. Then select any one CPU and search about its information. This can be helpful to you for finding the compatible CPU of the system. Then I suggest you to do this task.

    As per my knowledge if the CPU of the system is to be dead then it means the processor of the system has to be necessary for the replacement. Then most of the user will be prefer the update BIOS operations before doing this new CPU insertion task. I also suggest you to do the same kind of task for insertion of the CPU.     If you haven’t sure that the CPU present in the system is to be dead then you need to put this CPU into the other same type of compatible motherboard. This will be helps you to understood that the CPU will be dead or not. Then do this test and you can understand that the CPU is dead or not. As per the result, after that you can do the remaining task in the system. Then follow this process. This will be helps to solve the trouble.
