Unable to boot properly in K9N SLI v2motherboard

I am facing some booting issues with my MSI K9N SLI V2 MS 7390 V1.0 motherboard. I would like that problem with you. Whenever I start my PC it usually gets hanged on loading the USB controllers. It normally gets stuck up over there and the only thing that I could do is to restart the system. I used all the different methods that I knew to solve the issue but it didn’t help me. Does anyone know how to solve this issue? If yes then please do the needful.

But before we move ahead to find out the solution for this issue I would like to know some more information about the configuration that your system has. To be more specific I would like to get information from you such as operating system that is installed in your system, processor included in your system and its power supply. Don’t forget to provide me this information

I have discussed this issue with many people but all of them have found this issue very complicated so they were not able to solve it out. But I think that you are the one who can solve the issue. The operating system installed in my system is Windows XP home edition. The processor that is included is AMD Athlon 64X2 6000+ 89W and the power supply my system consist is APEVIA Turbolink ATX-CW500WP4. I think these information will certainly assist you tom solve my issue.

I assume that you don’t possess much information about hardware issue that can be the cause that you are finding this issue more complex to overcome. I will try to provide you the easiest solution to overcome the issue if I can. I would prefer you to install a new Western Digital Caviar Blue 320 Sata Drive. After you install it clean your CMOS battery and then install the Windows XP once again in your PC. After performing all the steps I think your issue will surely be solved.

The issue is similar with other issues I deal with. In the past I also noticed such issue in my system. At that time I felt it very complicated to solve but as time passed on I came to know the correct procedure to solve the issue. In the commencement I had Windows XP and after that I found the log in BIOS and I had to reboot to get started. After that I un-installed all the drivers that were present in my system and made use of CCleaner in regular and Safe mode. This step actually worked out and finally I found my system without any errors.

I remember that doing the flash drive to test it possible to see one of the units when deciding a boot drive was successful to solve the issue. Two situations that you could see when you flash drive and use the boot menu:

    1. If you perform a cold start then USB drivers freezes or hangs for a while, and after that try to use the boot menu: the flash drive won’t be listed
    2. If you perform a soft start and then in the boot menu you will notice that there is no flash drive appearing as one of the boot disks.
Soft start normally works when you reboot Windows. After that I re-installed all the drivers and finally it was working fine.

I noticed that I had inadvertently forgot the jumper setting from "cable select" on the hard drive and kept the slave unit detached. I encountered the error "no boot drive detected". Nevertheless, I also checked the same if there is a boot drive linked or not. It was all mentioned in the BIOS POST. I didn’t retain information about what was earlier one and is above the current web site and through the BIOS MSI Live Update tool. Finally I used an IDE drive and a SATA disk unconnectedly and that is the thing that worked out and was successful to solve the issue. IDE is a Seagate SATA and blue was a Western Digital.
