Overheating of AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition

There is an issue about Overheating of AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition in my computer which is running on 1.4v and 3.4GHz. The motherboard I am using is Asrock M3a770de and system is installed with Windows 7 64bit. While running the Prime95 I have assumed that at some condition the processor temperature rises upwards 70 degrees. I know that it is not stable and don’t know why this is happening. I don’t have any high end heatsinker or cooler but my current one is much enough to hold the temp to stable.

I have also had the same problem with my computer which was built on same processor. Anyways I simply purchased and installed a Corsair H5 Hydrocooler. I observed that devoid of the old processor fan that I kept in mind something. While I noticed the PC prior to, my processor fan would create a noisy moan waiting I got toward the desktop. Perhaps the heatsink fan was leaving out? In whichever case my computer is liquid cooled currently and the temperature is reported to be around 23 degrees on top of the metal bracket outer surface of the processor that holds the pump ending onto the processor.

If you use Coolnquiet, which is suggested, in that case you must obtain to a circumstances where your temp inactive is concerning 15 degrees on top of the room hotness. If you obtain this the instantaneous far above the ground power reaction temperature must be underneath 50 - 55 degrees (once more depending on area temperature). In excess of time (almost certainly several minutes) the case cooling will turn out to be dangerous and picking an appropriate case will turn out to be a problem. The desk fan test will offer an suggestion on top of this.

I simply understood that you didn't record the clock speed resting on your 965 Black Edition processor. I was running mine by the side of 3.7 GHz, therefore if you are running your processor at a subordinate clock which appears to be the case since it sounds similar to you haven't overclocked it up till now, you absolutely require improved cooling. AMD might list 62c like a maximum temperature, except AMD is playing it on the extremely safe side. Like I said prior to, I ran my processor in favor of lots of months, 27/7, at 65c devoid of problem.

I've been extremely satisfied by the move about from the 965 black edition toward the 1090T and wouldn't waver to carry out it over again. I must adjoin that I utilize it for company programs and intended for folding at additional times, therefore all 6 cores are place to employ. If you don't have whichever programs which would get benefit of the entire 6 cores, in that case a 965 BE would be ample fine. The 1090T furthermore runs considerably cooler and in favor of my knowledge, utilizes a bit less power. If you run programs or any kind of applications that can make use of all 6 cores, in that case I believe you be pleased with the buy.

I have observed that the temperature issues are hit plus miss. On condition that you can prohibit having a deformed heatsink bottom, excessively much or not sufficient thermal paste otherwise just not applied properly and unsatisfactory case cooling. Points being that my x4 965 black edition with the stock heatsink and underneath load not at all topped 57c except for the reason that of my suspicion from reading forums similar to this. I punctually installed a zalaman cnps9500a, currently i inactive at 27c and beneath load up to now have merely touched 41c.

The foremost thing to keep in mind even while reapplying a thermal paste similar to AS-5 is the original warmup and shutdown ladder to get. On one occasion you clear the aged paste and observe a new application you at rest barely run the system intended for some hours for the early warm-up and shut it behind for more than a few. So I think that you need to do some modification with CPU case otherwise you will not able to slow down the temp. Make use of some additional fans to provide more air toward the processor.
