Support for IDE controller in Asus P8P67

Hi, I am having a problem, I hope that one of the experts can help me with. I am going to build a new computer with an Asus P8P67 Deluxe motherboard, Sandy Bridge 2699K processor and Windows 7 OS, the problem is that the customer is of need of an IDE controller card for his Optical drives, and there is no IDE on this board. Before,I have used the SIIG SCPE4B12S4 PCI IDE Controller Card and
It has worked very well.My question is that Will it work in a PCI slot?If anyone can help me I would really appreciate him.

According to me there should not be a problem if you are having a windows 7. PCI is regardless always on the motherboard.PCI card is more costly than a SATA drive. If the customer is worried about the running out of the SATA ports, he will be getting a better PCI- SATA card to expand the number of SATA ports, instead of clogging up any Bridge system with obsolete technolgy.

I am not aware of the support for the IDE controller in ASUS P8P67 because I am using the Gigabyte motherboard. I am not sure whether it will work or not. I cant give you any solution as might be it can go wrong. The only way I can suggest you is that you can go through various websites and search for the requirement. According to me,I will tell you the buy the GIGABYTE motherboard. GIGABYTE motherboard comes with low rates all all the features. It has high level resolution and good performance level.Along with that there should be a geforce 3 ti200, as they are performing great at every level. They are cheap and easy to build. It should contain about the ssd and also consists of RAID.It should consisist of 6gbs or 8 gbs of interface.Hope this will satisfy you.
