    SSD with MSI NF980-G65

I was inquisitive if anyone else has the NF980-G65 has an SSD installed and working well for you. in recent times I pay money for an Intel-made and wanted to know if there are some extraordinary settings in the BIOS that I have to do to make the system be familiar with the drive as an SSD, and I can only give when I make a new installation of Windows 7 (64 bits)? Please suggest me some solution on it. all replies are highly appreciated. Thank you.

Windows 7 automatically detects and fixes SSD therefore there is nothing else to do. IDE or AHCI mode does not matter, it will still perform faster! However, if AHCI mode is enabled, then when you install Windows 7, you possibly will require installing the Nvidia SATA RAID / AHCI driver for the duration of installation, however in my 890FXA-GD70 did not comprise to do whatever thing. I've been make use of 3 Corsair X64’s for above a year and not at all had a trouble. I have them operating in AHCI. Sprint them in IDE mode, they will be more rapidly.

Windows cannot find a partition to install Windows on. Then I tried with AHCI. The same thing, Windows cannot find a partition to install Windows on. In both cases, I could observe the drive, was 111.6 GB of free disk space of the 120 GB SSD Intel. however when I clicked on it, in together cases when the index rose is essentially saying ", Try Again" Now when I attempt the option of RAID, which will pass through the whole process, and reboot and then sits on the installation to finish forever. Any help from anyone with this board exactly the same, please help.

Bound by what you said, and was still a no-go. So I switched back to RAID. Then install the SATA / RAID, and install Windows 7 in about 15 minutes. As many people say IDE or AHCI is what gives the most excellent performance. But later than installing all updates and hardware drivers, Windows scored drive at 7.8 seems to be pretty good in my humble opinion. The only thing that can be used however it is the toolbox SSD. But I am acquainted with that going in that would not work if I set to RAID. But with nothing else works correctly.

What sata port you plugged the SSD? I'm not saying this is the answer to the question. But I remember reading some time ago that if it takes to connect to the ports of 5 or 6 that the BIOS must be set to attack the two ports to function properly. I not at all tried to observe if this happens, but it's worth an attempt to make use of another SATA port 1-4, if you are connected to SATA port 5 or 6. I hope you are clear with some point. If you found some solution then please share your experience with us.

Do not know how I would do a firmware update from the toolbox seems to work if you are in Raid mode. The raids in the only way to get it working subsequent to trying the whole thing point out in this thread. I have it connected to a SATA port. I was given a score of 7.8 on Windows 7, but not like the fact I cannot use the toolbox to keep the engine running smoothly. The simply other obsession we ever did was to update the BIOS to 1.4. Not saying it right or not, but say it is not broke, do not worry about updating the BIOS.
