How to control system fan speed with MSI 880GM-E41

I have purchased the MSI 880gm-e41 motherboard for my system, tried to transform in my older case. My previous msi board controlled fan system, but the msi 880gm-E41 keeps turning at 2650 rpm and is making too much noise. I looked in the BIOS and through a lot of different programs, but none seem to be able to bring the fan speed is below 100%. Does anyone have any tips for controlling the fan base plate system which will not spin (or a lower RPM) when the system is idle?

With SpeedFan, it is possible to adjust the fan speed to the CPU temperature. SpeedFan uses to the "Monitor-chip on the motherboard. In the new version now also nForce 2 / 3 motherboards support and nVidia graphics cards (eg GeForce 6800) recognized. It seems that in extreme circumstances, SpeedFan might damage the monitor connected to the nVidia video card. Such thing has happened only while SEND REPORT. Due to this, the version 4.13 has been written. The version 4.13 greatly improves nVidia video card support, ensures that some, possibly offending, checks are no longer made and completely remove support for NVIDIA VIDEO CARD SEND REPORT. You would be able to safely utilize the SEND REPORT facility on version 4.13. This is the first serious issue, but very rarely the case, never reported SpeedFan.

I run the fan only turn down a few percent, because it is not especially hot in the housing, the only thing a bit too hot, is my graphics card, but not excessively. Also works The automatic fan really not, because the fan turns on more either, then a maximum speed, or it just turns off completely off. The problem occurred when I understandingly, a jumper have reconnected. When booting then got a notice that I BIOS time properly again was to set what I went on after the jumper sat back in his place (I think at least that he belongs here :-) Since then, It just runs very often at full speed, which is pretty loud and annoying.

Thus you had to have the option, different modes for the CPU fan to choose in the BIOS, and especially in the "Silent" mode, he should be in idle mode be clearly specified down! You need this course, "Q-Fan" to "enabled" position, both for CPU and for connecting the CHA-fan, and the pope then CHA CHA 1 or 2! Furthermore, important, Q-Fan Mode to "PWM" since your CPU fan has 4 pins! Click 'views on the linked page the image 30, since you can see the necessary BIOS settings well. Should the unlikely but not work, try 'even a BIOS reset, nothing helps, look for views on the Asus HP for your MoBo if your BIOS version is outdated and possibly a BIOS update is useful !

I understand you can only regulate fan with DCC 4-pin connector! which with 3-pin connector to run with the speed indicated on the packaging!if it is the cpu fan, you should check the bios for hardware monitor (or similar) look! there you can adjust the fan is normally controlled by temperature or transferred to a silence mode is! is just always on board again! Which is not entirely new! then it may be that it is not working!

65 ° as the temperature at the diode (in the processor core) are OK - I come with my XP2500 to 60 °. If you overclock to 3000 levels to similar values as you do, the 45 ° seems to me not the Board (or body temp.) To be, but the temperature of the motherboard to the processor socket measures. You can test that by watching the temp when it is open: it significantly reduced it is actually the case temp. If not, it is probably the base-Temp. If it is the body temp. should be, (which I really can not imagine) you should definitely make for more cool air in the housing. If your prozzi and corresponding graphic card is there then it should be two 80 case fan at 2000 rev / min well be. As long as your system runs okay, everything would be fine in.
