Intel dx58s02 sata 3 upgrade

I am trying to install a SSD on Intel D58S02 motherboard. I am constantly getting bluescreen. I am trying to install Windows Vista on it. The SSD is detected. I had connected the drive on SATA 3 port. As per the board specification this would be working really fine. But I am getting bluescreen. I had tried to re-install windows but the same is not working. Can anyone help me to fix the problem.

Try to change the cable first and then port. It looks the drive is not connected properly. Second thing just for testing install Windows XP on the same. If it does not crash then there are chances the OS disc you have is not proper. You can try installing Vista from a bootable usb drive. I had seen the specification of your board. That clearly states that any SSD is compatible with it. So you must not get this blue screen issues.

Try to disconnects any additional hardware from the system. Just keep the keyboard/mouse connected. If you have multiple ram sticks then remove that also. You have to see one by one by connecting in different ports. If you are still getting crashing error then it simply means the hardware that you had bought is not proper. If you can manage any other system to verify then try to do that.
