Compaq Presario F500 will not turn on

My Compaq Presario F500 when I turn on the LEDs light up a second after which the computer shuts down why i do not know the reason? Most probably i think that the laptop is damaged somewhat for what reason i do not know the is there anyone who can help me solve this problem? Many thanks in advance. My laptop is running with windows vista.

Most probably i think that the battery is dead It seems that the power supply circuit is blown and hence you are not getting enough power. Try to give us more information. From what you say it seems that the battery is exhausted, and of course, be plugged in not charging the battery and powers the notebook. If the notebook does not starts still then simply post back again.

So I have no idea how to charge the battery. Anyway even trying to remove the battery and to go only by the current PC does the same thing. When I turn the computer makes a single beep and then led over to i tried to remove hard disk and reader as well as i tried to removing and reinserting the wireless card and ram but to no avail. I tried to read around to disconnect the battery and power supply and hold down the power button for 90 seconds but nothing changed any idea?
