    DDR2 or DDR3 for Biostar A780L3G Motherboard

I just require several explanations. I selected up a without charge Biostar A780L3G motherboard by the side of Microcenter, by means of a buy of an AMD Athlon II x4 630 processor. Where I require a small illumination, is amid the ram category. At the Microcenter website, the motherboard specification tells supported RAM is DDR2. But in some other website, it describes that the same motherboard supports DDR3. The model numbers on the motherboard appear to be the similar by the side of each website. Therefore I'm guessing it’s DDR3, however that doesn't look correct. Can anybody authenticate which one intended for me?

Microcenter was carrying out the package through the A780L in anticipation of a moment ago. In the previous week or consequently they altered the board toward the A780L3G. In reality they don't still contain whichever A780L within their account any longer. Furthermore the processor is in reality the Athlon II X4 640 - not 630. I am familiar with this because I've been eyeing that package for several occasions and am going there at present to capture it at this moment that they have the DDR3 edition inside the package.

As far as I know this motherboard is well compatible with DDR3 memory there is no doubt about that. I have looked into several Google searches and I didn’t find anywhere about the DDR2 RAM for Biostar A780L3G Motherboard. I think that you have not seen it properly otherwise there may be chance that due to typing error it has been shown like that. Otherwise it just has been a fake post.

The last time I saw in a website that the same motherboard was compatible with DDR2 memory. I didn’t after several weeks it has been suddenly changed to DD3. The company might have altered the motherboard but they didn’t change the model number. Due to this reason many people have been confused. But now this motherboard only supports DDr3. If you have bought earlier version of board then that may support DDR2.

Just purchased the $ 58.00 Processor/Mother board combo at Microcenter today. Box shows as requiring DD2 Memory. I went to plug in the DD2 chips and found the slots are DDR3. The mother board is labeled DD3. I guess I get to stand in the return line tomorrow.
