i want to purchase a Brand new PC with core i7 processor. Along with that I also want to install enterprises edition of new windows server 2003. I want to know is it feasible to install windows server 2003 on machine having cpu as Intel core i7. Also tell me about motherboard which is suitable for server 2003 and i7 combination. As far my general knowledge is saying windows server will work nicely on Intel core i7. There is no requirement of server motherboard for running server operating system. If want to experience the features provided by him like support for ECC RAM then you can prefer that one. There is no need to check motherboard specification. Almost all server motherboard support any cpu. They are actually designed for this purpose only. Even I also don’t know much about this one.
