As far my general knowledge is saying windows server will work nicely on Intel core i7. There is no requirement of server motherboard for running server operating system. If want to experience the features provided by him like support for ECC RAM then you can prefer that one. There is no need to check motherboard specification. Almost all server motherboard support any cpu. They are actually designed for this purpose only. Even I also don’t know much about this one. But I will keep informing about them if I got relevant information from my friends. If you want to know more about this there is a information available on INTELS official site. You can also get information from your hardware dealer.

I don’t have much information related to windows server and all that. But I know about processors. When I asked about this to my friend, he told me to search information about core multiplexing. I search on many sides to collect information regarding core multiplexing but couldn’t get too much. I think if windows server will work with core 7. Actually I read one article on web, related to your question. According to which it is possible to work windows server with your processor, for which you just need to switch off your core multiplexing functionality from your motherboards bios. I hope this will help you to select suitable motherboard for you.

There is no need to run here and there to search motherboards which are compatible with windows server 2003. You can find all motherboards that supports windows server 2003 on windows official site under windows server catalog section. Simply switch to that side it will display all motherboards and sever versions supportable by them. There you can find all server versions as well as system configuration which you need to work. After configuring your newer machine don’t forget to keep an update of all drivers required by your server to avoid future problems. And if you want more information about this visit other tech. sites which gives more information regarding hardware.
