Motherboard unable to detect HD 5450 graphic card

I just purchased an ATI HD 5450 for my HTPC. I've not at all upgraded computer parts previously. I opened my computer and placed the video card right into the PCI x16 slot as well as it fit properly. I switched it on and totally nothing happened. I plugged my LCD back into the included video slot as well as gone into device manager. My new gpu wasn't observed there. I went into the BIOS as well as place the x16 to the main output and still zero. ATI suggest a 400w SMPS for this graphiccard but I still simply have my stock 250watts one. I unplugged the whole thing apart from my motherboard from my SMPS trying to get rid of any additional load on it, but still nothing shows up on my graphic card. After an hour or two of my PC running, the card becomes warm so something appears to be happening. Any thoughts on this post then please reply me.

For this you to disable the integrated graphics setting of the motherboard, then insert the new graphic card. This could arise a problem if the card still doesn't work as well as you are left with no method to get video from your PC. I believe that you would be capable to obtain with a BIOS reset, though.
