What bios should be prefer for Gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H

i have recently purchased the GA-MA785G-UD3H motherboard of the Gigabyte company for my new system, and have a record of all the components i desire to assemble an home theater pc. This is my first assembling. On the reviews of the motherboard at newegg, people have state having to place in an am2 cpu then flash the bios setting as well as the swap out to an am3 cpu. at some end the boards are send out with the most recent bios and you don't require to do that, just crack in the am3 and it is fine to go. But how do i make out what bios edition the board shipped with? newegg no more has the board, so i purchased it from someplace, no way of knowing if this is up to time that i can observe. Gigabyte has not responded me. i can notice the board revision, but that is the only one, edition 1.0, so it does not actually denote the bios edition, and i notice no other reveal of how to tell what bios it come with. Can i just place in an am3 and flash if wanted? or would i actually require to place in the am2 or am2+ initially? i don't desire to purchase 2 processors and fans.

Well the first question of mine is actually which processor are you required to run on your motherboard. My second question is make out which bios supports your processor the most. Then observe the manufacturing date. But I don’t think so the manufacturing date affects the driver. If the bios is dated previous to your manufacture day then you are lucky. If not several machines will a yet boot with unconfirmed processor. Attempt it you should be clever enough to flash the bios previous to you begin installing you operating system. If any problem then please reply me again.

I went to gigabyte website and donloaded the updated version og the bios. The way i recognize it, the f3 etc are the newest suggested for each processors as listed, as revisions of the bios modify the stepping. i have no thought what the stepping is or what that even indicates. But there was an f1. i get my board from directron. I have never hear of that website, so for all I can make out that they got some when they primary come out, and maybe they didn't advertise many. there are no analysis of the item, so no one has confirmed they got a newer bios on theirs at this website.

If only gigabyte had been bright enough to place some kind of manufacturing date on the package, or even the motherboard, i would be golden, but i cannot discover anything on either. And the box and board are enclosed with information about the motherboard, but no talk about of bios. Apart from that there are 2 of them. the pack says every over it that the motherboard is am3 ready. and then it articulate to check out their website for information. But their website is a bit puzzling, and missing any real details that make a full lot of sense to me. it appears like the bios versions were launched attractive rapid fire, one a month. i'd in fact like to get the am3 that i picked out. I’m not making no matter which really top of the line, but receiving a cpu that is outdated just looks dumb. am2 and am2+ seem to be getting phased out. i'm a not veteran but i can tell that much. if i have to, i establish an am2+ processor, but it is senior wattage than i'd like. my box is wood, and merely has one fan, so i want to remain everything as cool as probable. if i might obtain a fantastic cheap am2 including a fan, i might get it presently to flash the bios. i'm frightened of placing in the am3 and wipe out my motherboard or the processor or whatsoever would blow up.

I went honestly to the processor support page, and as I observed that there is no BIOS previously that F3, I implicit it was the initial time - didn't take the time to appear at the d/l page... Lemma look in the morning - I might have an older AM2 hovering approximately here I could throw in the mail to you - can't keep in mind discourteous what it is, but I'm certain I have the (likely di-assembled) heat sink/fan as well (in fact, more sure about that - I might pitch an old CPU, but I never throw away an HSF - no issue what I'm 'cobbling up', I'm frequently pushing more current during it than is affordable.
