i have recently purchased the GA-MA785G-UD3H motherboard of the Gigabyte company for my new system, and have a record of all the components i desire to assemble an home theater pc. This is my first assembling. On the reviews of the motherboard at newegg, people have state having to place in an am2 cpu then flash the bios setting as well as the swap out to an am3 cpu. at some end the boards are send out with the most recent bios and you don't require to do that, just crack in the am3 and it is fine to go. But how do i make out what bios edition the board shipped with? newegg no more has the board, so i purchased it from someplace, no way of knowing if this is up to time that i can observe. Gigabyte has not responded me. i can notice the board revision, but that is the only one, edition 1.0, so it does not actually denote the bios edition, and i notice no other reveal of how to tell what bios it come with. Can i just place in an am3 and flash if wanted? or would i actually require to place in the am2 or am2+ initially? i don't desire to purchase 2 processors and fans.
