Want help to purchase new cpu for my old pc

I have two choices here to get a new system. First is to upgrade and second choice is to buy a new one. I prefer to go for a assembled system, because in that only I can get the most cost affective option. Right now my only need is to get a good processor. I have a Intel Dual Core cpu on my system and I had sell that off. Just adding up some amount I plan to go for a higher cpu. I prefer to add more rams also. Which is a best cpu I can go for. I have a Gigabyte motherboard which supports new processor also. Even amd is proper for me to go for. I do not want to a too much costly cpu for gaming purpose. It is just for my basic office work.

Under a entry level if you want to go for AMD then Athlon X2 II 245 is the best one you can go for. It will work on the choice platforms with DDR2 AM2 + or AM3 platforms with DDR3 memory. Athlon X2 II 245 does not benefit the third level of cache Phenom II. Instead, AMD has 1 MB of level two cache per core, for a total of 2 MB of cache. So this cpu fits the best for your current need. It is also not costly. This cpu comes in the range of dual core in case of intel. So you will not get a much higher processing speed. Right now you are using Core 2 Duo which is a higher processor in comparison to the what I had mentioned.

Simply go for AM3 cpus. AMD is no longer content to offer dual-core processors for entry level but also solution triple or quadruple heart. The former founder of Sunnyvale and provides a range broad enough to ticklel. In that range you can purchase Athlon X4 630 which has four execution cores whose architecture is logically derived from the Phenom. The processor is 45nm and its operating frequency at 2.8 GHz. You can satify yourself at 2MB cache. There is no L3 Cache support and it also lacks in performance if you need a gaming support. For basic office works this is the best cpu I found.

Simply go for Phenom quad-core. It is a bit costly but best in performance and fits all your need. It is a former 45nm high-end processor and has four execution cores. The socket is AM3 format and this offers solid performance in many situations even if it heats up quite quickly. AMD also announced a thermal envelope of 125 watts for this processor. With an operating frequency of 3.2 GHz, the Phenom X4 Black Edition has an unlocked multiplier. An interesting choice for overclocking, if selecting a cooling system in relation to the significant heating of the processor. You need a good cooling support for this or else you can face degradation in quality.

I believe in using Core i5. This is a costly cpu but best in performance. It is a dual-core processor enjoying a fine engraving in 32nm and an integrated graphics core. Clocked at 3.2 GHz, Core i5 650 is formatted Socket 1156 and embarked 4 MB third level cache. Its graphic part operates at 733 MHz. This will also need to upgrade your motherboard also. You will get TurboBoost and HyperThreading in this. This two technologies are supposed to improve your systems performance. That is first by increasing the operating frequency of the processor depending on its workload, the second by allowing each core to work on two processes.
