Unable to install the Intel Desktop Control center

I have recently configured a brand new system with the windows XP sp2 as the operating system and the Intel core i7 as the processor also I have the 8GB DDR3 RAM installed in my system. Now the problem is that I am not able to install the Intel Desktop Control center on my system. I tried to install the same for two three times but failed each time. Even though I have configured my system using an Intel DP55KG I am facing this problem. The thing here is that I have no means through which I can monitor the CPU temperature and that is the reason why I am installing the IDCC. Please help me in solving the problem and also let me know the exact source of the problem. Is there is any compatibility issue or any other please help me I am worried a lot. Also the only source that remains in front of me to see the CPU temperature is the BIOS. And to o measure the same i have to enter again and again in the BIOS setup.

I have gone through your problem and it seems to me that you must have not installed the .NET on your system. The thing here is that you must need the .Net Framework on your system before you install the Intel desktop control center that is nothing but the IDCC. So make sure that you install the latest version of .Net Framework. It will also do if you will install this one .NET 3.5. It will solve all your problem related to the IDCC and then you can easily be able to measure the temperature of the CPU without going to the BIOS.

I guess that the IDCC which you are trying to install must have some problems in it or from the medium through you are trying to install it. So what you have to do here is make sure you use the original copy of the Intel desktop control center that will make the installing more easily. Or it may have also happen that you must have committed some mistakes while the installation process. Make sure that you won’t do any mistake that will affect the installation.

Re: Unable to install the Intel Desktop Control center

According to me the only thing that is stopping from the installation is the compatibility issue. Because as per my knowledge Intel Desktop control center works only on the windows 7 platform and it is not for the others. So in short the IDCC is platform dependent and as per the system specification mentioned by you are using the windows XP sp2. So what I want you to so here is that just uninstalls the windows XP and install the Windows 7 because you have all the other configurations right. And then you try and install the IDCC and I hope that this time it will not give you any kind of errors. If still you are getting errors than you have to check out with the IDCC that you are installing on your system.
