My problem is little bit different from motherboard issue but still I am facing problem just because ATA 133 cable. I have one MAXTOR 60 GB external hard drive but it use ATA 133 cable for connecting. I have already connected it to my system but I am facing problem during data transfer. Whenever I try to transfer any large file from one directory to another directory it is taking more and more time. I have check all its internal settings in my device manager but nowhere is problem. What should I do to solve my problem? Is any patch which can help me to solve my problem?

It’s very difficult to suggest you any driver. First of you want to utilize very old type of motherboard. And you have also not explained me here that which kind of motherboard you are using (like manufacturer and all other information). First of all, I do not think that you will get driver and if you are getting then it will be waste of time to using such old technology. Forget about it and try to use SATA cable motherboard otherwise please provide specific information.

You know what is data transfer rate of ATA 133? Nowadays propels are using SATA 2 and SATA3 cable which have 3GB/sec and 6GB/sec data transfer rate. I do not think that your ATA 133 will be able to transfer more that 512 MB/ sec. my computer RAM is 4 GB, Which is almost 8 times faster than your ATA 133 cable. You cannot utilize such high RAM feature with ATA 133 cables. So I think so its batter to go for SATA cable.
