Intel D510MO loud beep at startup before bios

I have recently upgraded the bios of my Intel D510MO motherboard. The problem is that this desktop board is now giving me an annoying beep sound at startup even before it reaches the Intel boot screen. After which the board functions normally on Windows Vista. When I googled for this problem on the internet I found that the single beep sound indicates F2/F10 key ready. However this is not the reason in my case and more over it's too loud than a loudspeaker. The sound can be heard by neighbors too. How can I turn off this beep?

I too had the same problem once a while on Intel board and after a lot of R n D, I found it occurring due to USB device. Try to disable the legacy usb support in the bios to see if that helps. Make sure you are not using any USB devices like keyboard or mouse which also gets disabled with this tweak. And for your question, you cannot get rid of the beep anyhow. This is how motherboard's are designed.

There should be some setting from the bios which disables this beeps although I don't have any problem anywhere. This is totally disgusting! Intel must have a setting in the BIOS, an option that disables the BEEP if everything is ok. Windows boot up as normal and runs just fine. I tried rolling back to the previous version of the bios but I have the same result.

What is the beep sequence that you have? You have not mentioned any thing related to this. Do you have any error messages after Windows starts? Check your Event Manager if you have anything mentioned over there. And yes, it is not at all possible for anyone to disable the beep sound from anywhere. Basically, BIOS always performs a power-on self-test which checks system hardware to make sure that everything is functioning properly, before it begins the actual boot.

First of all if this appears since you have flashed your BIOS then definitely it the version that you have installed. Remove it and see if that helps. Next, in general, before the motherboard boots and the CPU fan starts there is around 3 second delay. This is the reason why you got the beep sound. Are you having any auxiliary power cable (6-pin PCIE) plugged into your graphics card?

First make sure you don't have any dust inside your computer. If it is then remove it completely with the help of some air compressor. Next press your memory modules a bit deeper into the slot to make sure it isn't coming from there. You may also try to remove it, rubbing the golden part with an eraser and then re-placing it. Also try to use some utilities such as memtest, cpu-z, hard disk utility etc to make sure that component isn't malfunctioning.
