Sound issues on Asus P2LD2 SE.

Motherboard of my computer system is Asus P5LD2 SE and I have installed Window 7 on my system. But the problem is that I there is no sound. Previously I have installed window XP on this system and everything was working fine but from when I have installed window 7 the problem has started. I have also searched for the drivers of mother board but they are not working.

I have dual boot the system with Ubuntu and there is no sound issue on that. Then why I am getting Sound issues on Asus P2LD2 SE while using Window 7.

I have a card with 4 SATA ports P5LD2 which are occupied by two internal disks.
I have connected an external SATA disk and the latter is defined in master so that the PC boots up. I changed the boot sequence but if I turn on the PC without turning on the external drive, the boot sequence is changed. It would freeze the system disk master and the other as slave. Anybody can tell me how?

I have installed windows vista on my system and when finished everything was ok except the sound.
I have reached the point of formatting reinstalling XP 3 times but always in vain the same problem. I have sound card but it integrate to my motherboard.
It is an ASUS P5LD2 SE.
I am trying to install the drivers but it is displaying the message that it is incompatible. Is there any need to buy the sound card or this problem can be solved by any software configuration.

Are you sure that you have installed the correct drivers for your motherboard, because normally these kind of are displayed if you are trying install drivers that are not compatible. It will be better to install the drivers from the CD that you have got when you have bought the system.
But if you have misplaced that driver CD then you can download the drivers from the official site of Asus.

    Bindu-I,
Windows 7 and Windows XP have separate drivers, but the Windows 7 drivers are the same as Vista.

You can still try this technique with the XP drivers, which works for me.

    1. Go to the driver setup file and right click the setup file.
    2. From the menu select "properties".
    3. A box showing properties and other tabs will open.
    4. Select the "Compatibility" tab.
    5. Under "Compatibility", tick the options named "Run this in compatibility mode for" and then select Windows XP from that list below,
also tick the "Run this program as an administrator".
    6. Then run the setup file like normal and this should install the drivers!

    enjoy your music!

May be you are getting this error because of the wrong drivers, just check whether you are installing drivers for 64 bit edition or the drivers for 32 bit edition. I am asking this because if you are installing 64 bit drivers on 32 bit machine then it will give you not compatible message. I am sure if you check that you will get the solution for that.

I installed the Pentium D820 Asus P5B on a map, before I realized it was not compatible with it because I am having P965 chipset. In fact the site recommends Intel 945P chipset for that processor. I bought a new motherboard (Asus P5LD2 be) compatible with the Pentium D820 processor. At startup the fans works “no beep” the hard disk light is flashing.
