    "CPU fan error"

    Hello to all,
I am having this problem from the last week. For installing heatsink & fan in my motherboard I have to lift it for several times and re-position it. During this time I repeatedly get "CPU fan error". Then when I playing Fallout 3 on my computer, CPU overheated and my computer locked up. When I restart my computer, I get "CPU overheating" error message. I don't know why these are coming repeatedly. Anyone else having the same problem.
    Please help me.

I think your motherboard's fan's speed is getting too slow and that's why you are getting such type of problem. I think your system is placed in some harsh environment and due to this your fan is covered with excessive dust and that's why your fan become very slow. Such type of problem happened when you use your motherboard for long period of time. In this case you have to clean your fan and then you have put some oil in it for smooth performance.

As per my information you have inappropriate BIOS settings. In this case you have to use following steps to fix this problem.
1.First go to BIOS setup -> now check the first boot driver -> If you have select " boot from CD-Rom ", but there is no CD insert in it, then you have to change it to "boot from hard disk".
2.Now again go to BIOS set up and check CPU Fan Speed and now change N/A into Disabled.

As per your query it seems that your motherboard's fan's motor or sensor is get broken or get damaged and that's why you are getting such type of problem. Most of the people face such type of problem. In this case you have to buy a new fan to get rid out of this problem. Before buying new fan you have to check whether fan is really broken or not. Just open your CPU and check for any damages.

Whenever you remove cpu cooler, you have to reapply the heatsink paste to avoid any type of problems. For better cooling you have to keep thin layer between the two parts. Such type of problem happened when you tried to remove that paste and then the layer is disrupted. As per my information you have to use case for fan. You have to use paste in your computer to fix this problem.

I think you have to check your fan speed for any error. To do this you have to use SpeedFan 4.40. If you need a tool that can change your computer's fan speeds, read the temperatures of your motherboard and your hard disk, read voltages and fan speeds and check the status of your hard disk using S.M.A.R.T. or SCSI attributes, then you came to the right place. SpeedFan is the software to go. It is fully configurable and you can create custom events to handle every situation in an automated way.
