Respected Technical Team,
Hi There! My name is Apoorva M. Sheth. I have an assembled Desktop PC. I use an Asrock 945G-DVI Motherboard (http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.as...ConRoe945G-DVI) with an Intel Dual Core, 3Ghz Processor & 3GB DDR2 RAM.
My motherboard has an NVIDIA 7300LE Graphics Card installed on its PCIE x16 slot.
Off lately, I am facing an issue with this motherboard’s PCIE slot wherein though I have set BIOS to Initiate my CRT Monitor from PCIE Nvidia Graphics Card however, whenever I Turn ON my computer or Restart my PC, and when the VGA cable from CRT Monitor is connected to the Nvidia 7300 LE Graphics Card’s VGA (D-sub) Port (which is seated into PCIE slot on the motherboard, inside the cabinet), my monitor simply shows dark blank screen and the green power light just keeps blinking which in other words, I should say that the Monitor doesn’t initialize at all!!!
But, while the computer is Turned ON, if I unplug the VGA cable from the Nvdia Graphics Card’s VGA connector and then connect it to my Onboard (Intel Graphics) VGA connector, the display immediately comes back!!! Which means that my CRT Monitor and the VGA cable is perfectly fine!
So, now my question is that when my BIOS is set to initialize from PCIE, why does my monitor doesn’t initialize from it?
Is the issue with any of the following?
a) Nvidia Graphics Card itself.
b) Nvidia Graphics Card VGA Connector.
c) PCIE slot issue.
d) Asrock Motherboard issue.
Kindly provide me with an effective solution please.
Regards,
Apoorva.
