Need help regarding the Secure Erase of Intel X25-M SSD

Hey i have come to know about the secure erase word when i was surfing on the internet and from that time i am looking for the definition of it. I am using the Intel X25-M SSD so is there anything that i can do with it. Does the secure erase delete the complete hard drive? The secure erase is nothing but the reverting back the drive to original factories default setting which is having the company setting and not the user setting. This keeps the single track of the data on the hard drive. If your hard drive have the bad block and it is not performing according to the need of yours then it is better to give a secure erase that will over right the data. But there is no data recovery from the Secure erase

And also let me what is the difference between the normal Format and the Secure Erase and also tell me which one is the safer to delete the data from the hard drive

You can use the tools avaibale for the secure ecrase that will perform the e\erasing of the data from the drive that you wish to and will not create any problem. These tool made to erase the drive with the format that you wish. But the make sure that you wont require the data on the drive as this will erase the data. The difference between the format and Secure erase is that one override the data and another is completely delete the data. The secure erase id not advised as it wont delete the data completely and override the data so the infection that is cause will be some time wont be solve. This will be helpful only on the data block. The format is safer and easy as it delete the complete data from the computer drive so that you have the clean partition. but one thing is important to take the back up data before performing any of them.
