ASUS Rampage II provide poor VGA peformance

I bought a new computer system at my home and within few days i’m experiencing poor VGA performance. today when i was running the Superman: AA benchmark @ 1800x1100 with visual and physics settings maxed out, I was getting only an average of 18 FPS. On my old LGA 775 motherboard with the same video cards I would get average ~70 FPS. When run game it looks like a slide show because the frame rates are so dam low.
Current Motherboard: ASUS Rampage II Extreme LGA 1366 Intel X58

May be the software program running on a version of the Net Framework that is been not installed. You must install the .net frameworks 1.1, 2.0, 3.5 and all service packs. And also go into the Device Manager, check if you can see any of yellow or red exclamation marks indicating problems. Then right click on My Computer and click on Manage, which takes you to the management console. Now, review the various logs (i.e windows system, application logs, etc) to see if you have any problems.Hope you get solution to your problem.

You should go through following troubleshooting steps:
1] See that you have updated all the motherboard drivers from the Asus website
2] Try on both Windows 7 and Windows vista
3] You must also update video card drivers.
4] Pull out all the other hardware and USB peripherals
5] Disabled the SLI and Physx and try only one VGA card
    6] Load default BIOS settings
7] Unplug and Plug all hardware devices.
Hope this troubleshooting sets can fix your problem.

You need to download the pcwizard. And then benchmark the video card and the system. Note that you don't overclock until you get a stable system. Then check is your monitor configured for this video card or not? check in BIOS that memory voltages correct or not? check in BIOS that video card selected rather than selected on board video?
Also see video card power supply connection is connected if required?
And make sure that you have the monitor plugged into the graphics card and not the on board video OK.

As you told your problem i think you would be using two graphic cards, which may be causing you problem. So, I would suggest you to try only one card installed, and check it if that works better. If this method does work, there is probably some kind of interference happening between the cards that is lowing the performance. Also go around Asus website and note the BIOS setting over there and then set your desktop BIOS settings according to that. I hope you may have over come through your problem.

I think it's probably/mostly just the game not being optimized for i7-based boards and needs to be updated. Do you have also tried any other games yet? if not then try it. Also try disabling SLI and Physx for the time being and check that helps you. Make sure that your RAM timings are correct and check that nothing is overheating, most importantly the northbridge/chipset. If this does not solve your problem then i will suggest you to contact the ASUS Technical professionals and fix the problem.
