Council for RAM on Asus P5K

I have the PC with config as below and I would like to increase the ram. Do you think I should add some more ram modules? Take directly a set 2 x 2 1066MHz (4GB) or a 2x2 to 800MHz and adds them to those who already have flights to 6GB? What interests me is a good compromise between performance and amount of RAM (I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit) for 3D, After Effects, but also gaming.

There are known issues with the P5K RAM? That is, if I take the lanes are identical to those signed (only online but also find a good price that is 2x2 at around 3k) you can mix easily with other ram?

But I will observe greater improvement with 6GB of RAM at 800MHz or 1066MHz with 4GB though?

    Config:

    Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 (2666Mhz) 4MB L2 boxed FSB1333, Asus P5K, Corsair TWIN2X kit 2x1GB PC6400 800Mhz-444 XMS2 EPP, Nvidia 8600GT 256MB GDDR3 DVI + HDMI PoV PCIE, Western Digital 500GB SATAII 7200rpm 16MB, Maxtor 200GB IDE 7200rpm, LC Power 550W SATA silent giant rev.2 14cm fan green power, Pioneer DVR-212D-BK Black SATA, Enermax Chakra con monster fan 25cm. Samsung Syncmaster 931bw.

Hello, I think the better is the RAM the faster is your computer. If you get 6 GB RAM then you do not need anything but still 4 is enough. I say this because I had spoken to a friend who had even at risk of slowing down. In my case, I have 3 GB at 667 and I am fine.

Hello, do you think that 6 GB of RAM is enough for after effects? I mean I have never used it but I want to know if I could get it and I think you are better than me who knows this concept very well.

I do not understand a lot in hardware and that is why I am here to know things. But I told you because I had a friend who knows a lot more than me and he told me that something better will be helpful providing more speed to the user.

The system will take time and frequency reference. The RAM is less been so. Needless to 1066 ram then take them if you live with your xms.

Moreover, if a different brand, look for some good voltage stability of ram that would be worth for you to take. If not mistaken, your cl4 want to know about 2.1-2.2 volts.
