Hd4870 bios update

Hello I recently installed GTA 4 for the PC including the patch but continues to crash. I found on the internet that many with a hard disk 4870 have updated the bios VGA and have solved this problem. I would now like to help to do it myself. can someone help me?

Meanwhile you should probably download the bios updated will be a file. bin then make a floppy disk in dos auto partitioned with within the new bios and then restart the computer from floppy and type atiflash.exe atiflash then write-s 0 oldbios.bin so you save your old bios and then atiflash to your Bin folder.

First of all make and model of your card would be helpful.

You have saved the original bios?

If you have not done so, go to download.com site and download the original bios on your video card making sure to get it right (make, model, reference, etc.. Etc..).

Use atiflash on floppy (no usb) and cross your fingers, everything should go well.
