Exclamation System shuts down during game.

    Hi,
I am having a unique problem with my new system.Whenever I play Anno 1701 tutorial, the system shuts down. The problem occurs at the start of the third chapter in the tutorial game .I am confused as to whether this is bcos the system graphics is not sufficient or some other issue related to power supply. My system config is given below
    AMD X2 5200+
    Gigabyte GA-MA78GM S2H
    Corsair Value 1Gb*2 DDR2 667Mhz
    Seagate 250GB SATA2
    Seagate 40GB IDE(old hdd)
    SONY DVD RW
    Viewsonic 17" wide TFT
    UMAX 650W SMPS.
    I have a UPS to which i have connected the pc,which is 600Va / 360W .

Going through the specs, can anybody tell me whether the 600Va UPS is proving to be too weak to handle the load of the 650W smps?Should I upgrade the UPS to 700Va or more?

    thanks

Cant say for sure, maybe you need a patch of the game as this board can handle this games quite easily. Also try upgrading the UPS and see if the problem persists? But why do you use UPS?

Thanx for the reply i will see if i can get a patch.and i have given my UPS for service to c if there is any problem with it.

And as for ur question on y i use a UPS i live in INDIA.here the only thing that doesnt fluctuate is the increasing number of corrupt politicians
in simple words the power transmission is so fukd up here that not using a UPS means u fry up your rig in a matter of days .hehehe.

hehehe u dont use UPS in mumbai?!! well hard to beleive.here in kerala we trust our state electricity board so much that we dont think of a PC without a UPS.u can say they are made for each other when u r in kerala LOL ..maybe the area u live in mumbai dont have power flux.lucky u but i dont think not that many agree with u.
anyways ,does anybody have any opinion on this?i jus need a good analysis on whether a 600va / 360W UPS can be used with a 650W smps.

    Exclamation Update!!!!

    Guyss

I have an update.and not so good.

yesterday i checked again with anno 1701.this time i used a CVT(Constant Voltage transformer). After a litytle into the third chapter of the tutorial, the system just shutdown.on a hunch,i restarted the machine immediately and checked the CPU temp in the bios.and there i cud c that the cpu temp was coing down from 73 deg celcius!!!
so that means my cpu is getting overheated during anno 1701, right?
i use stock HS&F and the northbridge only hav a heatsink.no other game i played has caused any problem so far.any ideas anyone?to tell the truth i AM strting to get depressed now.i hope it is not a prblm with my proc or motherboard.after that switched off the machine and only restarted it in the morning.i checked the temp first and the cpu temp was 52 deg celcius.so obviously playing anno 1701 is increasing the temp.i dont understand.i played withe the least settings enabled.

How many fans you have installed in your case? You might need a heatsink to protect your comp from getting overheated.

I have one fan on the back of the cabinet blowing outwards.I thought maybe that was enough. There is provision for fixing one on the front side to blow air in.Should i change the stock heatsink-fan on the processor and fix another? I dont have any issues with the system when playing any other games or running any other applications.
anyways please advice me of some heatsink-fan options available here.i never thought i would be needing one
