Nvidia Geforce using more memory over firewall

I am having my computer running with Windows XP Pro SP2 with SSDP “Disabled”. I am having my Asus motherboard with 2 GB of RAM, I also don’t use nay swap files. I checked for it and found that nvidia was the thing that was causing me such problems. I found that among the other processes running nSvcIp.exe is using 325,808K of RAM, which I found was the highest in the list. This is my server and I don’t want anyone to use the RAM on my server. And I also cannot disable my Firewall. It seems like I need to buy another hardware firewall, which would cost me extra money that I had spent already on my motherboard as it already had the hardware firewall in it. Can anyone give me some suggestions on it?

First of all try closing all other applications that are running in your system. Do not make any unwanted process to run, as have only 2 GB of RAM and in that most of the memory usage is taken by the firewall that you are having it. So remove all the application from getting started. Also you can stop some of the applications that you don’t want to run to stop by going on to the Run and typing msconfig and in the start-up tab stop the services that you don’t want while start up.

It is always known that none of the processes that are running in the back ground should use RAM more that 25%. In Apache or Tomcat it would allow MySQL to use 100% of the memory. So it is only when you have the primary resources can use the more than 25% of memory usage. I think you will be required to have some more RAM or else you need to stop the other process running in your system. I think this is the only option for you.

If you stop your start-up processes, then they would really save more memory usage. It is not of much easy task to find out a firewall that is of low price and offering a good protection. You might get a firewall that is of low protection and use more memory usage or you will find no protection with low memory. So it is better to stop the processes to minimize your system’s memory usage.

It is better not to use the nForce firewall as it is not of much reliable. When you get a NAMsetup to install you will be asked for which component to be installed. There is nothing that you can kill any of them and have your firewall still running. You can get the better firewall with the ZoneAlarm. If you don’t wish to switch, then better try to update your firewall and then check for your memory usage.

I don't think there's anything you can kill and still have the Firewall, though in the NAMSetup install you get a choice as to which components to install. You know, with all the problems people have had with it, it's generally recommended to not install the NForce Firewall. You'd probably be better off with ZoneAlarm - the hardware offloading of nForce networking is notoriously unreliable, e.g. with Eudora, so there's no gain from their Firewall.
