How to unlock Refresh Rate of AOC L22W898

I inherited a monitor from my brother. It's as well a TV. The model is an AOC L22W898 22". Here is the trouble: the refresh rate is locked at 50. I want it to unlock. Is this probable? My monitor gets "Waves" of white or black (based on the color of the present page exhibited). I have attempted the whole thing else, reinstated cords, toggled it to the secondary monitor. My mother’s monitor doesn’t have this trouble, so it's not the GPU or PSU. I am thinking about vending it on e-bay and picking up a new LCD.

Here I as well wish to add something regarding this case. My Samsung 2243BWX is as well at 60 Hz with no additional options. I would attempt entirely uninstalling the drivers and after that reinstalling them another time and see if that help. My eMachines with the Nvidia 9800GT has the choice to locate the refresh rate up to 75Hz. It is as well running XP MCE 2005, but don't think that is an aspect.

The majority of the LCD panels are locked into 60Hz refresh rates. With the immunity of the new "3d" displays which will operate at 120Hz. Though, had I known some years before about the new 3d things, I would not at all have gotten rid of my 21"+ displays, as they were every 100-120 Hz, and all work with Nvidia 3d. I feel ripped off. For CRTs 75Hz is superior, as 60Hz will cause a few minor troubles (lights here as well utilize 60Hz). That's not a trouble for LCDs though.

Well refresh rates are not supple and are typically locked for constancy. Though a few monitors offer separate refresh rates but it is selected by the OS based on your video drivers. It is not advised to modify this setting using your monitor. Instead go to graphic properties & select display settings (u can right click on desktop or use control panel). Based on the ability of your driver, you will get a list of well-matched refresh rates. My old system utilizes a CRT display along with Intel graphics media accelerator driver that gives refresh rates of 60, 70, 75, 85, 100 & 120Hz. Currently 60 Hz is chosen.

Here I just wish to add something in this case. Well for me 60Hz was pre-chosen and I have no troubles what so ever, been utilizing it for 2years now. Infrequently there were a few troubles, but it turned out to be a trouble of the PSU. Seeing as it was bumped. I fixed it. Mastermind me, I had it plugged into the wall, and the wall socket looked to have troubles. Plugged it into an extension cord, and it no extensive has the bar by any means.
