3 monitors setup slow down the CPU while gaming

Hello guys, I am having a computer on which I always use to play games. I have setup 3 monitors connected to single CPU. While playing games on one monitor which is running on 6970, other two monitors runs on alienware 120hz. Yesterday while playing Starcraft 2 on one of the monitor which was connected to GTX 280, and other applications running on other two monitors, I experienced the system getting slow and the game temporarily freezing. I also found that the game was lagging. Can anyone tell me why my computer slows down and game lags.

There can be number of reasons behind this problem. It can be due to lack of RAM memory or hard drive problem. Check for the virtual memory and the CPU Usage. If the program is using 100% CPU then definitely your computer will slow down. The RAM memory of your system might be too low due to which the game lags. Check out the memory settings and try to move the cache files into the RAM disk. Hard disk space might be low so check for the disk space. It can be also the graphics card issue.

Your computer is slow and the game freezes frequently because you are running three monitors simultaneously with two cards. One you are using ATI and other one is NVIDIA, you have poor CPU performance. Moreover system becomes slow when there is less memory available in the hard disk or the Ram memory is too low. Check whether the memory is low or not. If the disk space is low then try defragment, disk clean, empty the recycle bin or delete the temporary files from the system.

It is true, if you have low disk space or low RAM memory, the system becomes unstable. If you change the graphics card with the one having larger memory then, it will only enhance the video quality and will not make the computer run faster. So I recommend to delete unimportant files from the hard drive that is eating up the disk space unnecessarily. If you are using windows XP, then switch to start and then select control panel. From the control panel choose Performance and Maintenance and then select Free up space on your hard disk.

Re: 3 monitors setup slow down the CPU while gaming

Hey guys thanks a lot for sparing your valuable time and replying my question. I have 3 monitors running on a single computer, but every time while playing starcraft 2, the game ju7st lagged and it worried me a lot. So I checked for the internal memory of the system. I deleted the Temp files and cleared cache memory from the disk. I realized that the virtual memory was low and so deleted the files that were unnecessarily eating up the disk space. Now when I play starcraft2, there is no more lagging. Thank you all for replying
