Unreal tournament not working with GTX 460 graphic card.

Hello guys yesterday only I bought new GTX 460 graphic card for my system. And after installing this I try to launch one of my One of my favorite games Unreal Tournament 1. But it won’t launch. Before that I was using intel GMA and a ATI 5770 for my system and with this my games works fine. But after installing this it asked me for new 3D device to use. Then I choose direct 3D and after that my screen goes black. I don’t what the exactly matters with it? Please help me out to solve this problem. is there any problem with nvidia control panel settings? I am out of ideas now. Please help me. Thank you.

Hi I am facing similar type of problem. Also I have GTX 460 (EVGA, 1024) and Unreal Tournament does not start. The dissimilarity is that in my system, after you double-click on the UnrealTournament.exe not anything happens. I've never seen my system to do much of anything after clicking the mouse. The same copy (GOG.com version without DRM) works fine on my laptop with Intel integrated graphics. I've tried the modified DLL file - no change at all. Run as administrator, changing compatibility modes and options - nothing seems to be working. If you have any idea, glad to hear them.

Hello I am having this problem .when I first time try to launch it, which appears in the Task Manager for half a second and then disappears without warning, or system error. More launch attempts resulted in nothing - not even appear in the Task Manager. The problem is that not even reach the selection screen video mode. I tried to copy the D3D10, but nothing has really changed. It seems that my problem is not limited to have GTX 460 installed. Please reply me your opinion on this. All replies are appreciated.

Hello I hope this will help you. According to me in your system no log file is created it will generates the ACL problems on the directory structure of Unreal Tournament which is installed in. and try with ownership and/or adjusting the ACLs recursively for this directory that unreal tournament is installed. After that try again to launch this game I hope it will run. If it doesn’t work then there will be problem with your new graphic card. Thank you.

Hi please update your New OpenGL drivers. And also update New Direct3d 9/10/11 drivers, as well as New OpenAL drivers. Also the new drivers OpenGL/D3D has support for S3 texture compression which means that you can install high-resolution textures that will give much better detail than the standard. I used to personal a Savage 2000 card as it was by far my preferred game and the textures were astonishing.
