    Radeon HD6970 vs Geforce GTX580

Guys I am looking to get a graphics card installed onto my motherboards as I have been really looking to get the best and the most important series in terms of the graphics quality not only in terms of gaming but also I am looking to have some realistic features when it comes to run the Blue Ray movies. I would also want to get good deal of graphics when I get this graphics card to overclock, as far the selection is concerned I would want to have any of the Radeon HD6970 or GTX580, so I would want you people to suggest me which one should I opt for and why. Please do reply.

Hey if you are looking for the exact difference from the two cards that you have mentioned it then, GeForce GTX 580 has a dual mission: to offer superior performance to its predecessor, while offering thermal, acoustic and electric reviewed downwards. And as far as the Radeon HD6970 is concerned I have come to know that this card is much too noisy and too heated, even for a high end card. So if noise is really a form of a distraction of you then you should go with the GeForce GTX 580.

The GeForce GTX 580 is still based on the Fermi architecture, in comparison to the Radeon HD6970 but a revised and somewhat extended graphics chip. It is now 512 instead of 480 CUDA cores and 64 instead of 60 texture units. Memory interface and equipment remain the same: 1536 MB RAM on a 384 bit interface. There were, however, clock speeds increased - from 700/1848 to 772/2004 MHz. This represents an increase of 10 and 8 percent in performance and that is why I will surely recommend you to go with the Geforce version of the graphics card.

Re: Radeon HD6970 vs Geforce GTX580

Nvidia's GeForce GTX 580 has certainly got the fastest single GPU graphics card in the market, its 3D performance is also adequate for playing on big 30-inch screens with 2560 × 1600 pixels and maximum detail level. GeForce GTX 580 discloses a GF110 graphics chip with 512 shader cores, 64 texture units and 48 raster output stages. GeForce GTX 580 is faster with 772 MHz around 10 percent than that of a GeForce GTX 480, the shader processor cores in accordance with 1544 MHz and that is why due to all of above reason I can bet that this will surely be the best graphics processor as compared to the other available.

Mostly all of the Radeon graphics card will have the power of providing greater cooling as compared to the other graphics card, so if you want to have the greater cooling effect then I would suggest you to go with this Radeon HD6970. Mostly when you run so many processes at the same time the motherboard and the processor is bound to get heated due to high temperature and that is why it indirectly effects the graphics card as well, so what I feel that you should look for this Radeon HD6970 as I feel that this will surely keep the temperature under count.

Re: Radeon HD6970 vs Geforce GTX580

The new Radeon HD6970 is the new generation type of graphics card that provides the best cooling as compared to all that are available. It contains radiator, the heat pipes with at least three pieces, each with 8 mm diameter which are in direct contact with the heat spreader of the GPU. Two large axial fans provide fresh air. The cooler takes on enormous proportions in, so that the card requires the same three expansion slots. The slot cover next to the vent slots it offers space for four display ports (1.2) full-size and two DVI ports. So I think that looking into count the future advancement I think that you should go with this type of graphics card.

If you are really looking in terms of playing most demanding games, the GeForce GTX 580 is 15 to 20 percent faster than the Radeon HD6970. Some games will benefit greatly from improved FP16-performance, such as the putting on HDR effects with the game and to get improved performance gains of over 20 percent are in it, in all we can say that this provides more fps count for the game and hence most of the high definition game will surely get the high fps count with this graphics card.

The Radeon HD6970 graphics cards are well known for their performance, but also to the considerable noise of the fans taken to the cooling system standard designed by ATI / AMD. The increase in noise is partly due to the need to dissipate the considerable amount of heat produced by these GPU, but also to the fact that you chose to take fans of low cost and easy availability rather invest in more sophisticated solutions. In addition, one of the most common complaints is that the default settings do not allow the speed to maintain an optimal temperature. What I think that apart from noise there is no other form of criticizing this graphics card as it is very cheap and consumes low power, check the temperature , so I will certainly opt for this.
