RT. X100 is a video capture card which is the first of a new family of products, based on the Power of X technology, developed by Matrox to combine the power of modern CPUs with video processing capabilities of the hardware installed on card. The device is capable of displaying, simultaneously and in real time, two streams and two Dv animated graphics, which have been applied up to a maximum of 16 effects, but can also permitted the capture and export in real time MPEG-2 format. if anyone know anything about Matrox RTX100 video capture card and its driver then please tell me over here.

With the new architecture, the computer processor is responsible for color correction and chroma key, luma key and slow motion. The rotations, strains and displacements are 2D and 3D computed by the instruction set, Flex 3D, Matrox owner of the chip running at a speed as to ensure real time display without any dropped frames. Note that these filters include the generation of shadows, soft edges and frames, are also available based on the transparency and blur bitmap images vary in time, always in real time.

The box of RT. X100 contains the PCI card, a FireWire cable with four-and six-pin terminal block and external connection, which allows the passage of the analog input and output through the RCA jacks and Mini Din; the first used for stereo audio and composite video, the second for S-Video. This object is connected to the card with a big lead, from which branch off to two-wire terminated with many mini-jack, to be inserted into inlets of the input and output of the computer's sound card.

The paperwork is in good manual, very detailed and precise explanations about the installation and use of effects. The bundled software includes drivers X.tools Matrox, Adobe Premiere 6.0 (upgradeable for free edition 6.5) for video editing, Sonic DVD it! 2.5.3 LE for DVD authoring, and finally a CD-ROM with a video tutorial about an hour explaining how to use Adobe Premiere and After Effects.

The installation procedure is relatively simple: it starts with the uploading of Premiere and other software is loaded in which the Matrox plug-in, then you insert the card and connecting cables. At this point you go to install the drivers for the RT. X100, using the procedure provided in the CD-Rom and this operation writes in Premiere two new projects in real time DV (PAL or NTSC), the only ones able to exploit ' just entered in the computer hardware. Note that currently are included in the CD-Rom only Cube and ripple effects, as others cited in the manual, such as Lens Flare and distortion, will only be available in the near future and will be available for free download from the Web for registered users. Once the upload process, you start the import phase of the video using the Matrox MediaTools module, which scans the scene and their co-catching, identifying them with a precision of a single frame through the recognition of the Time Code, which accompanies each frame recorded on digital tape.

Re: Driver Matrox RTX100 video capture card

I no longer want to buy Matrox cards, which pursues policy intent on changing every 2-3 years, the board acquisitioned. Non releases more new products to drive, and.... costrige continue to spend ... and to renew card editing. Questa policy, I was bored before I had a Matrox RT 2000, and the destruction are moved to RT X 100, which does not work that is not compatible with almost anything, both video card and / or motherboard . I suggest the reader to switch brands and scheda. La Matrox must change its policy and continue to assist those who boards a few years ago (2-3 years). I do not buy more. At least if it does not release drivers for various cards made compatible with new products and / or at least tell the new products (video cards, motherboards) which of these cards are compatible with the editing Quash years ago, at least with the RT X 100. The private nuisance to spend thousands of euro in continuing to buy new secede video editing.

To ensure the best performance during the import, software, Matrox has a utility to select the type of DV camera used, so that the program waits for the seconds needed for the mechanics of the digital device performs the requested operation. If your model is not listed, you can set the parameters by hand, by running a short series of tests. RT. X100 entrust the management of audio to the card inserted into the PC and also does not support the use of AVI files that include audio as well as a result, multimedia video and audio clips should always be separated. For this reason, during the capture MediaTools create separate files for the sound and animated images, which are still loaded with the timeline of Premiere.
