    Graphics Controller Not Functional in HP DV7

    I am using HPDV7 laptop from past 6 month running on windows 7, previously it was running on 64bit Vista. Last night when I powered on my laptop then suddenly a blue screen is popped, there was an error code but I was unable to write it down. Then after restarting laptop fan gets started but screen is completely dead, I have noticed a thing that num locks and caps locks light are blinking continuously. Then to know about it, I visit to the HP support site; there was mention that all this happen because of “not functioning of graphic card”. I don’t have solution on it that will help me to get rid of this problem, if anyone having suggestions on this then reply me.

    This kind of problem can be rises, when on e of the drivers of controlling the device may me failed in some manner, due to that you are getting this problem. As far I know that this can be solve by updating the BIOS, the basic input output settings are related to all you drivers and components, do the setting by manually or apply default settings. You should first try this solution then also if you query is not resolve then reply me back.

    Normally this is happen because of the connectors or short-circuits cables; I think that you can easily overcome by doing yourself. This can be occurs because of faulty data cables or connector, open your machine and check, each and every cable. And mainly check the USB connectors, that USB and circuit board, then properly connect them back. By doing this you can overcome this issue.

    I have gone through your query and I think that this problem related to the hardware issue not with the software. And think that you should check out this problem with the local technician on this because I think that laptop is very delicate machine to handle, so average use is not capable to handle it. Go and check out your machine to the local technician. I hope suggestion may help you.
