Acer H233H LCD Monitor broader display

Just few weeks back bought an Acer H223H wide screen LCD monitor. Set everything well. I set it up to runs on the resolution 1920x1080, however can’t change the displayable area of the screen. I want to mean that whether I am able to boarder the black area of the displayable area up to 1 or 2’’ more. I found that someone did this by some advance graphics scaling settings. There is a little marked over the screen. I tried a lot to recover it, but fail every time. Any fix or suggestion about this ?

I would like to suggest you install driver for HDMI for your monitor. It generally used to detect the plug and play mode of your system. The driver is available for the windows vista version, though if you are using another operating system like windows XP , then you can also install the driver for vista. It will surely fix your problem.

I fixed this problem on my computer by the following steps. Would suggest you to go for the steps, it will surely help you. The steps are:
1.Go to device manager from your “My computer>manage”.
2.Expand the list and double-click on Plug and Play monitor.
3.Go to driver tab and click “Update Driver”.
4.Install it from a specific location (Advanced setting).
5.Click "Have Disk" and point to your Vista drivers folder.
6.choose HDMI ones (x32 or x64 depend your operating system).
    7.Reboot your machine.

Remember; during updating driver don’t click on update windows.

Having the same problem, having a Dell Studio XPS laptop running on Vista. The problem is appeared in my laptop when I connect the monitor with the laptop. Using the VGA interface. I tried for everything to fix this issue, but did not get any result. Finally decided to upgrade the operating system in windows 7. But the problem stills there, the image quality is worst and the screen is smaller than 23’’. Could any one give any solution?

The monitors are come in both HDMI and DVI cables. Whereas the HDMI cable is appears in a blue connector and DVI cable has a white cable. Keep noticed that you cannot access the H Position or V Position when you select the Menu button from the monitor to select the picture. Under HDMI the positions are inaccessible that’s why you have to make some changes in DVI suite. The full screen image in HDMI is providing by none.
